Step-by-Step Guide to Cashing Out

To cash out from the platform to your PayPal, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the drop down menu on the top-right corner of the platform.
  2. Select "Your Account"
  3. Select "Activity" on the left side of the page. Here you'll find your current balance is displayed, as well as a log with past cash outs.
  4. Click on the "Cash Out" option, and you'll be prompted to enter your PayPal email address and your Contently platform password. Please make sure your PayPal email address is correct, as this is where the payment will be sent.
  5. Once you've entered the details, confirm the cash out request.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Here are some common issues users encounter while cashing out:

  • Entering your Contently email: The Contently platform asks for your PayPal email address when cashing out, not the email address associated with your Contently portfolio.
  • Delayed or Undelivered payment: While payments are often instant, it can take up to 24 hours to reach your PayPal account. There are some occasions where it takes a few business days. If it’s been more than 4 business days, please contact support.

Important Notes

There is no fee for U.S. freelancers to cash out, but non-U.S. freelancers may face a small fee, typically around 3%. Please make sure to review your PayPal settings and fees based on your location. More on this here.
