What is Contently?

Contently enables users to manage and optimize their organization's content lifecycle. We have tools dedicated to content strategy, planning, creating content, activating content, and optimizing and evaluating content performance.

To help supplement this lifecycle, we also have services such as our freelance writers, editorial services and content strategy.

Getting Started

If you have an Owner user role, that means you have full access to the platform within your organization. This allows you to not only create content, but also to make administrative changes to your Publications configuration.

Below are introductions to the key areas of Contently and how they can assist you going forward.

Create content and manage pitches

No matter what your content program looks like, you'll want to generate content in Contently. To help assist with this, Contently has developed robust creation tools, ideation tools, streamlined workflows, and automated brand governance.

Write, edit, finalize and publish content

After you create a piece of content in Contently, it then needs to go through the process of being written, reviewed, finalized and published, all of which is managed with our Workflow Tool.

Organizing and finding content

Contently can also help you manage and organize your library of content. This makes it easy to see what you have in development, who's working on what, and share content within your organization.

Editorial Process

We understand that not every user has experience with creating content with freelancers (optional service). To help you understand what it is important to effectively work with your freelancers, we've created this collection of help articles.
