This article explains the steps to staff a writer to your team, whether they are part of the Contently Talent Network or not. Follow the outlined procedures to ensure proper onboarding and compliance.

How can I staff a writer to my team who's not a part of the Contently Talent Network?
- Make sure they create a portfolio on contently.com/register
- Notify your managing editor (or Customer Success lead) of the writer’s name and email.
- Managing editor / CS lead fills out the Masterform on Editor HQ, option J - "I'd like to onboard a new freelancer to a Pub".
- Creative Marketplace team is notified and reaches out to the writer to get them registered and trained.
- Managing editor / CS lead who submitted the masterform request is notified once the freelancer completes their mandatory training.
- Managing editor / CS lead notifies client that the writer has been staffed.
Note: Please do not staff an out-of-network contributor via user management. They need to first go through the registration and training steps before being staffed.
How can I staff a writer to my team who is a part of the Contently Talent Network?
- Your managing editor / CS should reach out to the Creative Marketplace team to let them know who you want to staff.
- Client / managing editor / CS lead who submitted the request is notified when the contributor has been staffed.
Note: Please do not staff an in-network contributor via user management. We need to check that they don’t have any negative performance reports under their account and/or that they are banned in our network.
